NIAS has great pleasure in inviting you to the National Primary Games (NPG). The National Primary Games is a festival of sport for children aged U8-14 (Year 3-8) from across the country competing over two days in a Carnival atmosphere hosted by the Northern Inland Academy of Sport in the beautiful city of Tamworth. The sports on offer include Netball, Football, Rugby League, Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball and Gymnastics. The NPG embraces inclusivity, enjoyment, friendship in sport and sportsmanship as its core values all of which are celebrated through the Spirit of the Olympics.
The NPG is supported by the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) who will be providing Olympians as special guests in support of this festival of sport, along with other high profile performers to entertain the children and their families at a special function throughout the weekend.
Director of Sport, St Andrew’s Anglican College. The Sunshine Coast, QLD
The NPG includes six sports and welcomes both boys and girls and their families. You will compete against teams from across the Eastern seaboard of Australia and from far flung regions of the inland with sportsmanship and inclusivity being the focus of the weekend culminating in the Spirit of the Sport Award being presented to a team who represents this attitude within each of the sports.
This is a wonderful opportunity for teams to experience a tour including plenty of opportunities to compete and learn. You’ll play competitive games pooled against teams of your own standard from across Australia.
With thanks to recent corporate support from Macquarie Bank cost has been reduced to $25 per person (GST Inc.)
The National Primary Games is extremely grateful for the ongoing support of the local community and our major partners. A huge thank you to Macquarie Sports Foundation, The Australian Olympic Committee and the Tamworth Regional Council without whom, this event would not be the success that it is.
